If you wish your child to be considered for a place please complete the basic ENROLMENT FORM which serves merely to express your interest and requirements. There is no charge for being on the waiting list and you will be contacted as soon as we are able to confirm a place for your child.
We do fully intend to fill places from the waiting list but priority may be given to parents requesting: an immediate start, as we have to ensure places are filled as soon as possible; to families with more than one child wishing to attend the Nursery, and to parents requesting full time places.
Once we are sure that we have a suitable place for your child, we will contact you to confirm the start date and we will send you a PLACE OFFER LETTER requesting a £50.00 registration fee and the deposit. The deposit will be £100.00 per day of attendance to be paid, for example if your child will be attending 2 days per week your deposit will be £200.00 + the £50.00 registration fee.
The deposit will be refunded to you when your child leaves the nursery (subject to your account being settled and that you give one months notice in writing). The registration fee of £50 is non-refundable. Both the registration fee and deposit are non-refundable should your child not start the nursery. A detailed registration form and agreement will also be sent for your completion. Receipt of these, a copy of your child’s birth certificate and the deposit will secure a place for your child.
You will then be sent a standing order mandate to complete, which will need to be set up for the day that your child joins the nursery and for the 1st of each month following. We like you to arrange several (usually 3) short pre-arranged visits usually for the week or two prior to your child starting at the nursery, where you can meet the staff, feel at home with us and complete our ADMISSION FORMS stating your child’s current routines and requirements.

The Early years funding can be complicated and therefore we have devised this guide regarding how ourNurseries operate to ensure we offer transparency to our parents with regard to charges and funding.
FUNDING OPTIONS FOR CHILDREN FROM 9 MONTHS OLD – FROM SEPTEMBER 2025:
From September 2025 the government will be expanding the funding available to eligible families with children from 9 months old. Children may be entitled to funding the term after they turn 9 months old, 2 years old or 3 years old. Please refer to www.beststartinlife.gov.uk website to check when your child will become eligible. For the next term beginning 1st January all codes must be obtained and verified by theNursery before the 31st December 2025.
Please be aware that changes to funding at 2 years old and 3 years old happen the term after a child’s birthday at 2 years old and 3 years old. Fees will also change from the term following their birthday NOT the month following.
For those families who are already claiming the 15 hours for the working parent entitlement, from 9 months old and for 2-year-olds, you do not need to apply for a further code to claim the 30 hours from January 2026. The one you are currently using will be used for 30 hours automatically. You do however still need to confirm your code every 3 months within your government childcare account to remain eligible.
Each Eligible family may be entitled to a maximum 1140 hours of funded childcare per child per year. This is calculated at 30 hours over 38 weeks (term time only).
At the Forbury Group of Nurseries, we apply the funding across the whole year, therefore giving up to 22.35 hours of funded childcare each week of the year.
We will claim up to a maximum of 8 hours funding per day of attendance up to 22.35 hours across the week. (over a minimum of 3 days)
You will be asked to pay for the extra hours your child attends above the funded hours, for example if yourchild attends 2 full days per week, you will be able to use 16 hours of funding and you would pay for theextra 4 hours per week.

If you wanted to opt out of the charges and access a fully funded only session we offer a maximum of 15 hours per week over 5 sessions. These hours would be offered 5 days a week either 8.45am – 11.45am or 2pm-5pm. There is no deposit charged on a funded only place.
9 MONTH TO 23 MONTH FUNDING:
If you are eligible for the working families funding for your child in this age group, and have been provided with a code, please pass this code on to the Nursery accounts team, who will then send you a Parental Agreement Form to complete and return so that they can check eligibility by entering the details into the local authority system.
In line with your child’s attendance pattern, we will then advise you of the extra costs for private hours associated with the place.
Please be advised that we do not offer childcare by the hour.
TWO YEAR OLD FUNDING:
If you are eligible for the working families funding for your child in this age group and have been provided with a code, please pass this code on to the Nursery accounts team, who will then send you a Parental Agreement Form to complete and return so that they can check eligibility by entering the details into the local authority system.
In line with your child’s attendance, we will then advise you of the extra costs for private hours associatedwith the place. Please be advised that we do not offer childcare by the hour.
FUNDING FOR 3 AND 4 YEAR OLDS:

Please note that fees due will be set up in the same way. Fees are annualized and therefore you will pay a fixed monthly fee, payable on the 1st of the month by standing order, Tax-free childcare or Childcare voucher.
FOOD:
We pride ourselves on providing healthy and nutritious food for the children in our care, having on-site chefs to ensure the food is freshly prepared and allergies and special requirements are managed well.
Meals includes breakfast, snacks, 2 course lunch, Tea and fruit. We provide Milk or water only for the children to drink in line with healthy eating habits.
We are unable to store packed lunches safely in the setting and would not be able to maintain safe eating practices with our youngest children with regards to severe allergies and the age of the children we are working with. Therefore, we do not allow food to be brought in from home to protect all the children in our care.
