To be considered for a place at Waingels Gardens Day Nursery, please complete the basic ENROLMENT FORM which serves merely to express your interest. There is no charge for being on the waiting list and you will be contacted as soon as we are able to confirm a place for your child.
We do intend to fill places from the waiting list but we may give priority to parents requesting: an immediate start, as we have to ensure places are filled as soon as possible; to families with more than one child wishing to attend the nursery, and to parents requesting full time places.
We will be in contact with you once we are able to confirm a place for your child and we will send you a PLACE OFFER letter with a request for £50.00 registration fee and the deposit. The deposit will be £100.00 per day of attendance to be paid, for example if your child will be attending 3 days per week your deposit will be £300.00 + the £50.00 registration fee.
Subject to your account being settled, the deposit will be refunded back to you when your child leaves
(please give one months notice in writing of your child’s leaving date). The registration fee of £50.00 is non-refundable. Should your child not start the Nursery, both the registration fee and deposit are non-refundable. We will also require a detailed registration and agreement form to be completed. Once we receive these 2 forms, copy of your child’s birth certificate and the deposit we will secure a place for your child.
We will then send a standing order mandate for you to complete, which will need to be set up for the day that your child joins the nursery and for the 1st of each month following. It is advisable for you to arrange approximately 3 short pre-arranged visits usually for the week or two prior to your child starting their first day at Nursery. This is a good time for you to meet the staff, feel at home with us and complete our ADMISSION FORMS stating your child’s current routines and requirements.
If you have any further questions please call the nursery on 0118 918 6060 or e-mail us at [email protected]
We have an admin team based at our Head Office in Reading. They deal with Nursery fees and accounts and can be contacted by calling 01189 585 367 or 01189 500 116.

This year the government have introduced several new types of funding for eligible children to help towards childcare costs for working parents. All of our Nurseries offer the new funding for eligible working families from 9 months old, as well as funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
The funding available is for up to 30 hours per week for 38 weeks a year (depending on the age of your child). We spread the funding across the year, and you will therefore incur extra costs for extra hours and consumables charges.
Please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to find out if you are eligible for funding to help towards childcare costs.
You can also find details of Tax free childcare on this website which can also provide a significant saving each month, and can be used alongside the government funding.
11.18 hours per week spread across the year funded for children 9-23 months old (eligibility criteria to be met) You will receive a code if you are eligible which needs to be presented to the Nursery. This becomes available the term after a child reaches 9 months.
11.18 hours per week spread across the year funded for children 2-3 years old (eligibility criteria to be met) You will receive a code if you are eligible which needs to be presented to the Nursery. This becomes available the term after a child’s second birthday.
There is also funding available for 2-3 year olds if your child is identified as a targeted 2 year old by the local authority. Contact the local authority for more details regarding this.
All children age 3 in England can have 11.18 hours funding per week with us all year round. This becomes available the term after a child’s third birthday.
There is also a further 11.17 hours funding available per week for eligible working parents of children 3+ years. You will need to apply for a code for this and check your eligibility on www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. The code you are given needs to be presented to the Nursery. If you do receive a code this must be re-confirmed every 3 months when prompted to do so by HMRC to remain eligible for the funding.
PLEASE CONTACT THE NURSERY FOR INFOMATION ABOUT THE EXTRA CHARGES THAT MAY BE INCURRED AFTER FUNDING HAS BEEN APPLIED.
